Your Josephine looks exactly like our boy Doxie, "Pete!" Oh how
so precious they are. I received the snoodie that you made for my
Pete. I just love it and he does too. It fits him perfectly. He
is an old boy, at 15 1/2 years old and has a little arthritis and it
makes me feel good knowing that he is warm.
I am glad there is someone like you who knows that a Dachshund is just a
little different shape than most dogs and needs that extra few inches in
the back and a longer collar for their neck. You got it just right!!
Ordered the snood because my little dachsund/poodle
shelter rescue mix was cold after a too short haircut. She LOVES
it! It is so well made, so cozy and she looks sooo cute. I took it
off for awhile to see if she wanted it off. I held it in my hands
and she poked her head right back through the turtleneck. Such a

I received my order for the two sweaters today-1/22/07. Thank
you so much for your promptness. My little Graycee is a Katrina
rescue dachshund. She was one of seven newborn pups rescued along
with their mother by my nephew who is in the Coast Guard. They were
all kept aboard the Coast Guard cutter for five weeks before
returning to their home port in Galveston, TX. I'm sure the dogs
were a welcome diversion from the ravages of the hurricane. The
captain kept the mother and named her Katrina. He also sent a piece
of the blanket that was their bed aboard the cutter home with each
puppy. She has really been a Godsend--even though I already have
two Shih-Tzus and four cats. I had a dachshund when I was growing
up and had forgotten what fun personalities they have. Graycee
weighs about 10 lbs. and is the wild boar color. We named her
Graycee because by grace she was saved , and we spelled it Graycee
as Gray is a family name. The sweaters fit her perfectly, but I
wish I had contacted you first to let you know she is female. I
really like the way the girl green sweater fits better than the
boy/girl blue sweater does. I'm really excited about these because
nothing else has fit her at all. Anyway, thank you again for your
